What a long and scarey day . . .

Update:
Boss is MUCH better today, very alert and "playing" with me while I fed him his medicine - the edema is down hugely and he can bend the leg fairly well. He got up sometime between 4:30 AM when Derrick checked him and 5:45 AM when I did.
The softhearted guys had the tires out before I could stop them, oh well, I told them YOU MAY have to do this again!
What a couple of heroes, especially ED who left work early (which always puts his job in jeopardy - danged hospital!) AND the nurses at Same Day Surgery where he works (most of whom have horses) who finished his his work for him!
