|- my paradise, my first love -|
lately i've been missing the hustle & bustle of the windy city. i miss the wonderful skyline of downtown chicago & the amazing architecture it contained. but as i cruise throughout the island of guam, i can't help but take a look at the eye catching beauty of the pacific ocean & listen closely to the waves crashing onto the shores.
guam has always been my home since my family migrated here from the philippines in 1989. in 2002 i moved to chicago for college & instantly fell in love with the city. sadly, i left chitown but left my heart there in 2004 & returned to guam to handle some business.
it has been quite a return back home. whenever i feel the need to escape, the beach is my refuge. it was my first love. my piece of paradise when life became chaotic. when i was away from home it became symbolic of my roots as an island girl & my spirituality. |
