Bosss and his tires this AM . . .
DON'T FREAK! The red is tincture of iodine, the whitish-blue gunk is anti-bacterial ointment for his wound and skin scrapes!!!
This morning he was up, so I got to "anoint" all of his scrapes (from rubbing on the tires that prop him up when he is down and up and down and up . . .) and to wrap his lower legs for support now that the edema is nearly gone (yay) and to flush out and doctor the wound, which is closing from within (YAY), and rub liniment all over his sore muscles (my hands still tingle from it, good stuff!)
It is overcast and may rain, YAY YAY! ALso means no flies, not that HE gets them as we use fly spray (a natural baed one) and it works very well - repels the flies, they land but do not bite.
Your prayers and good thoughts are working, please keep him in mind!
(and his very exhausted human-type nurses, all three of us) BLESS YOU ALL!

BOSS UPDATE! 16:35
Well, courtesy of drive-by calls, the city called out the State Veterinarian for our area.
NICE MAN!
He examined Boss today and said "that is a heckuva wound" but he did not see what more we could be doing.
He requested that our vet come out and give him his own exam tomorrow, which he will.
Meantime, the wonderful Animal Control guy (who has to take allll those messages) said, "Hey I see you have a new paddock back by the crick. Move him in there! then folks can't see him."
AHHHH! Great idea! And Boss has more privacy.
Derrick did indeed just finish that section yesterday, and we s-l-o-w-0ly walked Boss over there (Ed had better luck than I did; Boss was playing up to my soft heart, but he really is quite sore).
WELL! Boss discovered there are SEVERAL trees and GRASS yippee zippee! SO he had a rest under a tree while it rained some, then some grass and hay and goodies, then he lay down again and is down now.
AND! WONDERS NEVER CEASE!
The stable owner came over and APOLOGIZED for his anger and for the behavior of his barn manager who was the one too dumb to leave Boss IN the creek until we could get him!
Prayes are answered in God's own time - we may not always LIKE the answers, but this time the answers were GOOD!
