SUNDAY’S SERMON : A RIVER THAT CAN NOT BE CROSSED
Pleas read or turn to Ezekiel chapter 47

In this chapter a angel sent by God takes Ezekiel in the spirit to show him the river of God, the very spirit of God. The angel measures out 1000 feet taking him out to his ankles then 1000 more feet taking him up to his knees and again up to his waist and finally again1000 feet to waters over his head into a river that cant be crossed. These verses depict how far we can go with God, how much we are willing to trust Him and how much we want to serve His kingdom.
I was readily able to relate to these verses because many times I have canoed in rivers that couldn’t be crossed, where the current was so strong you are swept away by it and at the mercy of the river, not knowing what was around the next corner.
If one chooses to serve the Lord one must be willing to go where the spirit leads, one must be willing to be swept away by the Love of the Lord. In verse 8 the word tells us the river goes to 2 places, the desert representing those who know Him but are dry and in need of ministry, and to the sea, in the original Hebrew text it says the dead sea which represents those who are lost. The verse goes on to say that when the river leads you than these waters will be HEALED ! You see that when the spirit leads it will not fail. Remember last week we discussed the fact that seas represents humanity, God will not waist your time by sending you somewhere where you will have no effect.
In verse 9 it restates that there will be a harvest of fish where the river takes you, we are to be fishers of men, it says that they shall live !!!! PRAISE THE LORD.
However in verse 11 we are warned about the miry places, the marsh or swamp. This is a place where Christians become stagnated in complacency, apathy and compromise. Its waters shall not be healed it says in verse 12 and given over to salt, sea salt. There are 2 kinds of salt in the earth, sea salt which is poison and the salt of the earth which is why in the word we are called the salt of the earth, a preservative.
So it is up to us how far we want to go with the Lord, ankle deep or over our heads, I have chosen the latter and in doing so I believe that the Lord sent me here to this site and I have been deeply blessed by all of you in one way or another and I thank you. I hope I have in turn blessed some of you.
I am trying to keep this weekly message short as not to bore you, please read the entire chapter and let the spirit minister to you through it.
Seek the Lord while he can be found and see where he sends you, for we are all called by His great name to do mighty things, God bless you all::
