No! what Lennon said was "right now we are almost more popular than Jesus" He said that in what 1964, 1965? He's been gone 26 years and people STILL won't let that quotes go! It was a joke on what the Beatles were rapidly growing tire of: "Beatlemania"! He was way annoyed that people took it so seriously, he was young and always had that sarcastic wit. Lovely shot.
