celticvoice Good morning, Roger. Thank you for visting Anne, I adored her. What a talent. When I first saw her it was in "The Miracle Worker" on television. I loved "84 Charing Cross Road", a true (I think) and mild story about a long distance sort-of romance/frienship between a {married]bookstore clerk and a single and lonely NYC book collector. When she at last gets to London to see him, he has died. A sweet film.

Re Hummers and SUVs I can't imagine owning one like that. It was years before I knew they were a GM product, saw ads on early Weather Channel daze and could not beleeeeve my eyes! We have a pickup (1974 F100, $600 cash plus repairs)for getting hay and lumber but that's it. Our sedan gets superb mileage, our Caravan does really well too. I bought one new car, a Chevy Celebrity, in '89 in Calif. Ppl said oh BUIY ALEXUS (over twice the $$) I said WHO WILL GIVE ME THE BUCKS? No answer. i loved t
I loved that car, put 130,000 fwy miles on it in 5 years via work (drove mega miles), never had a major problem. Was SO PROUD to "buy American" until I found it was assembled in MEXICO! Oh well . . .
